CONQUEST OF STEEL Drummer Breaks Wrist; Temporary Replacement Announced

July 18, 2007

Drummer Chris "The Destroyer" Mills of the British traditional heavy metallers CONQUEST OF STEEL broke his wrist at this year's D.O.D. Festival (formerly Day of Darkness),which took place July 6-7 at Ballylinan, Co Laois, Ireland. While Mills is recovering, "longtime friend of the band John Savage will be stepping up to the drum stool and standing in for 'The Destroyer' on all the upcoming gigs," stated the band.

"This incident follows the breaking of bassist Vic Victory's collar bone in an unrelated event. Vic is now well on his way to recovery and despite missing a handful of gigs is now playing with the STEEL again despite the distinct possibility of surgery being needed to repair the long term damage to his collar bone."

CONQUEST OF STEEL's second album "Hammer and Fist", was released earlier in the year through No Face Records.
